One of David Bowie‘s very first recordings of his hit, “Starman,” has sold in England for five times the amount that was expected.

The 1971 demo tape was auctioned off this week for around 67-thousand-dollars. It was estimated to sell for around 13-thousand. Bowie made the tape with his Spiders from Mars guitarist Mick Ronson who gave it to Kevin Hutchinson, who put it up for auction It also includes early versions of his songs “Moonage Daydream” and “Hang Onto Yourself.”
