Jennifer Kae Jerman, of Mt. Pleasant, was handed 30 months to 20 years for one count of embezzlement and 30 months to 14 years on a forgery charge for stealing from a Mt. Pleasant business. Jerman was hired as a bookkeeper who handled payroll duties by J. Murray. Investigators found that Jerman wrote additional payroll checks to herself, cashed them, then allegedly changed the amounts in the J. Murray system.
