Scientists are creating human-sheep hybrids as part of an effort to produce human organs in animals.
Yes this is real. Sheep embryos with human cells has happened. It could lead to creating organs for transplants in people. Researchers from the University of California-Davis and Stanford University say their work could one day help supply organs for the more than 100-thousand Americans who need lifesaving organ transplants.
Basically, the goal is to shoot for being able to create tailor made organs. The scientists presented their findings over the weekend at the annual American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Austin, Texas.
