Governor Rick Snyder has declared a state of energy emergency for Michigan following fuel supply issues from Hurricane Harvey.

Governor Snyder issued an executive order Thursday.

It allows the suspension of some vapor pressure regulations for petroleum products being hauled in some areas across Michigan.

Snyder says the order will help ensure there are no shortages of fuel.

The tropical storm’s wide spread flooding has temporarily shut down key oil and gas facilities in Texas.
