Miguel Cabrera homered in his first game back from injury, and Justin Verlander looked strong again as the Detroit Tigers defeated Cleveland 5-2 Tuesday night at Comerica Park. Verlander pitched seven innings, allowing only two runs. The Tigers bullpen has also now pitched nine consecutive scoreless innings over the last three games. Unfortunately, Cabrera had to leave the game with a sore groin. He’s currently day-to-day.
