A federal jury convicted a Mt Pleasant man of domestic assault by a habitual offender on Friday. 46-year-old Travis Kahgegab trapped a victim in a bathroom, pushed her to the floor, and hit her multiple times. Eventually the victim escaped and ran to a neighbor for help. Kahgegab faces up to five years in prison.
