The Central Michigan Chippewas remain undefeated in Mid American Conference play, defeating Ohio 4-2 on Sunday for the weekend series sweep. Pat Leatherman pitched seven innings of one run, six hit baseball for the win, while striking out seven. Evan Kratt led the Chippewas at the plate with three hits in the win. CMU hosts rival Western Michigan next weekend.
Meanwhile, on the softball diamond, CMU fell 6-2 in Akron on Sunday. Hanna Warren struggled, giving up five runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings pitched. Allison Curtis went 2-for-2 with a run in the loss for CMU.
