Mike Green and Tomas Tatar also scored for Detroit, while Jimmy Howard made 24 saves. The Red Wings are 4-1-1 in their past six games, but at 30-32-12 on the season, are close to being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs for the first time in 25 years.
