Several hundred homes and businesses east of Mt Pleasant lost power on Monday afternoon. The outage hit an area along Pickard. The loss of power forced Mary McGuire Elementary school to move students to Morey Courts for the remainder of the school day. Most customers had power restored by 4:45PM.
