The Mt Pleasant community mourned the loss of Max & Emily’s owner Tim Brockman, who died suddenly on Wednesday night. Brockman was known for his service around the community. Mt Pleasant Chamber of Commerce president Bret Hyble also announced yesterday that Brockman was chosen as the 2016 Outstanding Citizen of the Year, and would have been given the award on Saturday. Normally that announcement is a tightly kept secret and announced at the event, but the Chamber made the announcement early under the circumstances.
