The Detroit Tigers offense sputtered on Sunday in a 5-2 spring training loss to the New York Mets. Most Tigers starters, including Miguel Cabrera, J.D. Martinez and Ian Kinsler didn’t play in the loss. Matt Boyd pitched two scoreless innings in the loss. Buck Farmer took the loss for Detroit allowing two runs in two innings of work.
