Alma May Cut Police Because of Funding Cuts

The city of Alma may consider a reduction in the number of police officers to compensate for lower state funding. City manager Phil Moore says the use of fund balance money for operations this year put various items on the chopping block. No decisions have been made at this time, but the cuts remain an option.
