A 40-year-old Mt Pleasant man was arrested Monday night after an argument with his girlfriend that turned violent. According to the police report, the suspect started arguing with his girlfriend over alcohol, and then he allegedly grabbed her by the throat. A roommate at the house on North Kinney contacted police. The man remains jailed in lieu of $3,000 bond.
