Kaya Coffee House in Mt Pleasant could face relocation if a deal is reached for the property they currently rent. Building owner Brad Ballein is in talks to sell the property with the building, which once also housed the Student Book Exchange, to Rick McGuirk to build United Apartments residential units. Any sale would be contingent on rezoning. The owners of Kaya said they had no idea they might be forced to relocate. The coffee shop has been in the location for 15 years.
