Alma city officials plan to begin the search for a new public safety director soon. Current director David Walsh plans to retire this spring after 39 years with the city. City manager Phillip Moore plans to make a recommendation to the city commission during the January 10th meeting to hire the Michigan Municipal League to conduct the search.
