There are always some big movies to come out during the holiday season, and this year is no different…here are three movies that you must see and will hear an awful lot about leading up to their release.

Star Wars Rogue One
Star Wars Rogue One

1. Star Wars: Rogue One: Well it is another edition of the classic Star Wars. In this chapter of the saga, a group of resistance fighters hope to steal the Death Star…another story line suggests the movie explores events and the characters beyond the Star Wars saga. I am not a huge Star Wars fan, but there will be lines around the theater for the premiere of any Star Wars event, I expect Rouge One will do quite well at the box office. Rogue One is expected to be in theaters on December 16th.

Office Christmas Party

2. Office Christmas Party: A cast that includes Jason Bateman, Jennifer Anniston, Olivia Munn, and others puts this movie’s bar quite high. I would call it the office party version of The Hangover from the previews I have seen. Hoping to close a sale and save their jobs, two co-workers (Jason Bateman, T.J. Miller) must rally their colleagues to throw an epic Christmas party to try and close the sale, but all does not go as planned and shenanigans ensue. Office Christmas Party is expected to hit theaters on December 9th.

Passengers
Passengers

3. Passengers: Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt headline this years sci-fi/space thriller for the holiday season (seems like there is always one). Here is the rundown of this movie from movieinsider.com “On a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim (Chris Pratt) and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction…until they discover the ship in grave danger. With the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all.” Sounds like a typical, but fascinating movie to me! Passengers will be in theaters December 21st.

Make sure to tune in every weekday morning to That Show with Matt Collins and Tina Sawyer for the Burning Question of The Day and your chance to win tickets to NCG Cinemas and you can see one of the movies compliments of My1043!
