The Detroit Red Wings opened their home season for the final time Monday night at the Joe Louis Arena. Defenseman Mike Green scored a hat trick, and the Wings took home a 5-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators. Darren Helm scored Detroit’s other two goals. Petr Mrazek made 31 saves for the Red Wings in the victory.
