Several hundred participants gathered in Mt Pleasant and Midland Thursday afternoon for the annual Special Olympics Torch Run. The Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraisers raise funds for the over 23,000 Special Olympics athletes throughout the state of Michigan. The events also raise awareness for Special Olympics and the people the organization serves.
