The father of Julia Griffin, who is currently in a coma and fighting for her life in a Mt Pleasant hospital, was arrested for failing to tell his probation officer than he had contact with police the night his daughter slipped on concrete steps, leaving her severely injured. 48-year-old Gerald Griffin was on probation for a third domestic violence conviction, according to court records. His probation required him to report within 24 hours to his probation officer the contact he had with police.
