Michigan State named senior Tyler O’Connor the starting quarterback eleven days before the Spartans open their season. The announcement from head coach Mark D’Antonio comes after an eight month battle to see who would replace Connor Cook. O’Connor is the most experienced player in the quarterback race, having filled in for the injured Cook in a victory over Ohio State last season.
