Loons Fall in Pitching Battle

The Great Lakes Loons found themselves on the wrong side of a pitcher’s duel Sunday falling 2-1 to the South Bend Cubs at Dow Diamond. Dodgers top-ten prospect Yadier Alvarez pitched four strong innings of one run, three hit baseball with four strikeouts. Zach McKinstry drove in the lone run for the Loons in the loss.
