Central Michigan University took second place in the first U.S. Open College Beer Competition on July 11th. The placement ranks CMU as the second overall brewing school in North America, behind Niagra College Teaching Brewery in Canada. CMU won a gold medal for the Black Stallion Imperial Stout, and silver medals for the Victory IPA and Holzfäller German Pilsner.
