The Great Lakes Loons wrapped up the first half of their season with a 1-0 loss to the Dayton Dragons at Dow Diamond on Sunday. Chris Powell and Wes Helsabeck combined for eight innings of three-hit, no run baseball before closer Brian Bass entered in the 9th surrendering a solo home run for the game’s only score. The Loons finished the first half of the season with a 29-41 record, finishing 7th in the Midwest League’s Eastern Division.
