The Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals Thursday night 10-4 at Kauffman Stadium. The win was costly for Detroit, though, as J.D. Martinez left in the second inning with a right elbow fracture. Martinez will miss 4-6 weeks. Victor Martinez dominated Royals pitching clubbing three of the Tigers six total home runs. Steven Moya was called up after the game to replace Martinez.
