The Great Lakes Loons fell 4-3 to the Lake County Captains on Sunday after closer Brian Bass blew a 3-2 lead in the 8th and 9th inning. Bass and fellow bullpen arm Wes Helsabeck spoiled a great start by Loons ace Michael Boyle, who surrendered only five hits with no walks and no runs while striking out five batters in five innings of work. Brendon Davis his hit second home run of the season in the loss.
