Mt Pleasant Police officers had to shoot and kill a deer that got into the Fancher Elementary School playground after it was injured. The deer was running around the playground shortly after 7:00am, and officials had to make sure everything was clear before kids started school. City public works crews assisted in removing the deer before students arrived.
