Mark Ranzenberger elected to remain in police custody and stay at the Bay County Law Enforcement Center while his trial for child pornography possession plays out. Magistrate judge Patricia Morris told Ranzenberger that he could have a detention hearing at a later time. The U.S. Secret Service investigation continues, and investigators are trying to determine if Ranzenberger distributed any of the material.
