Paint the Pavement

FreeCome Paint the Pavement with Art Reach of Mid-Michigan on Saturday, June 1, 2024, starting at approximately 10 am. They will be painting the intersections of Broadway & University, Broadway & Franklin, and Broadway & Court in beautiful downtown Mt. Pleasant. It is not necessary to register to paint and the event is free to everyone. The event is funded in part through Destination Development Funds from the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Michigan Arts and Cultural Council, secured by the City of Mt. Pleasant.

Volunteer timeline:
7–10 am: Setup – Volunteers and staff will be taping out the design on the three intersections, taping protective paper on brickwork, hauling supplies from Art Reach to each intersection, and putting traffic barricades in place.
10 am-Noon: Volunteers and staff will fill paint trays, direct painters to areas needing to be painted, and direct foot traffic. Community painters will be painting during this time.
Noon: Cleanup (including putting the final touches on each intersection), cleaning brushes, tearing down paint stations, hauling supplies back to Art Reach, etc.
My1043 is all about Mid-Michigan and all of the communities that we serve. We care about helping local Non-Profit Organizations (501-C3s) and other local charities, get the word out about their upcoming events!
