I’m Austin Shattuck! As your Sports Director, you can catch me Monday nights at 7pm on the Buck92 Sports Show, or during your favorite local high school sports games!
As a Saginaw, Michigan native, I have a great passion for the teams in the Great Lakes Bay Region. I played baseball, tennis, and basketball growing up as a kid, which started my passion for anything sports related. I began my college career at Delta College, eventually easing into a sports broadcasting degree at Central Michigan University. My mentor(s), Adam Jaksa and Brad Tunney helped me gain experience with college athletics and minor league baseball. With CMU being in the Great Lakes Bay Region, this made my choice to attend a Division one college an easy one.
Throughout my college career, I’ve been fortunate to work in the CMU Athletics program, as well as with 100.9 the Mitt in Midland. And now with Latitude Media, it’s another great way to stay tapped in with High school athletics in the Isabella County area.
Early on in my life, my grandpa got me hooked on Detroit sports. Tigers, Lions, Pistons, and anything related to Michigan State athletics has shaped my personality from a normal person to a sports nerd.
When I’m not on the radio (or prepping for a show/broadcast), you can find me watching more sports, fishing on the Saginaw Bay, playing tennis, and spending time with my family. My favorite hobby is a podcast that I host called “Austin’s Academy of Sports”: found on YouTube and looking for more subscribers. Talking about sports is my life, so if anyone was to hand me a microphone, I will be prepared.
I am beyond grateful to be a part of the Latitude Media team, and I hope to keep you entertained, during all the sports seasons, with your favorite local teams!
