The Harrison Area Chamber of Commerce has named Maye Tessner Rood grand marshal of this year’s 4th of July parade. Born in Detroit and raised in Mason, Maye graduated from Mason High School before her family’s connection to nature led them to a cabin in the Harrison area in 1966. Maye continues to reside in the Harrison area, grateful for the bonds forged, the opportunities embraced, and the enduring spirit of community.
