Angelina Jolie founded the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative with William Hague, the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary in 2012. The purpose of the organization is to raise awareness about sexual violence in “situations of armed conflict.” In a new interview with Marie Claire, Jolie discussed that she educates her own children about the issue. She said, “I don’t just speak to my daughters, I speak to them with their brothers. That maybe the most important distinction. The solution is working with women and men. Girls and boys.”
