Jamie Lee Curtis hits back at Fox News over her gun supportJamie Lee Curtis is fighting back after Fox News called her a hypocrite over the issue of gun rights. It all started earlier this week when Fox News suggested her support of gun reform was hypocritical because she uses guns in hew new film “Halloween,” which opens October 19th.

The Internet had a field day with the piece, mocking Fox News for not realizing that movies are not real life, with one person joking, “It’s called a movie. It’s also a movie about a seemingly immortal serial killer. Do we need to have a talk about reality versus fantasy?”

And now Jamie Lee is calling out the network, insisting she never said she was against the Second Amendment. “It was just silly, because they were trying to make a point without ever asking me what I really think,” she tells “USA Today.” “And what I think might surprise them.”

Curtis notes, “I am vocal about common-sense gun safety and gun laws,” adding, “I fully support the Bill of Rights. And fully support the Second Amendment. And have absolutely no problem with people owning firearms if they have been trained, licensed, a background check has been conducted, a pause button has been pushed to give time for that process to take place. And they have to renew their license just like we do with automobiles – which are weapons also.” Source: USA Today
