The Deadline to sign up for part of a $35 million class action settlement against Apple related to certain iPhones is one week away. The settlement comes after a 2019 lawsuit that alleged Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus had issues related to the “audio IC” chip. It also alleges violations of consumer protection laws and breach of warranty. The settlement includes people who owned an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus between Sept. 16, 2016, and Jan. 3, 2023, and either complained to Apple about audio issues or paid for a repair or replacement of the device. The deadline to file a claim is June 3rd. A final court hearing on the settlement is planned for July 18.
