Avian Influenza – also known as Bird Flu – has spread to mid-Michigan cattle. The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said the highly contagious virus was detected in dairy herds in both Gratiot and Isabella counties. MDARD is currently working with the affected farms and veterinarians to monitor the animal’s health.
