Matthew Lawrence Talks About Meeting “Mrs. Doubtfire” – It’s been 25 years since “Mrs. Doubtfire” became a blockbuster movie. Now one of its stars is talking.
Matthew Lawrence had the pleasure of playing Robin Williams’ son in the film and now he’s sharing how he met the late star. While auditioning for the movie, the then 12-year-old was asked to sit on a couch on the stage. Suddenly a British woman comes put and starts pinching him, wrestling.
That woman was Robin Williams. Lawrence says of the iconic funnyman, “Even in person it was so believable. I have yet to see an actor pull off something so extreme, so well in person, not just on film.” Lawrence also mentioned that Williams gave him a serious lecture about not doing drugs.”
