Last week, we reported that Heather Locklear was put on a psychiatric hold. While it was originally set for 72-hours, it’s now been extended to a 14-day involuntary hold.
It’s called a 5250, which is where a patient can be kept in the hospital for two weeks after the 72-hour 5150 hold. “This gives the experts working with her extra time to assess and deliver the help she is in dire need of,” explains an insider.
But she could remain in treatment through the holidays, according to the source. “She’s not going to leave for a while,” the source adds. “Her last stint was for 90 days and everyone wants her to get better, no matter how long it takes, where she’s not a risk to herself or anyone else.”
