If you were hoping the reboot/revival train would stop at a famous Boston bar, keep dreaming.
Ted Danson was on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and was blunt about “Cheers” being revived. “It’d be a bunch of people in their 70s in a bar going, ‘What? What? A horse walked into a what?'” He also dubbed it “Cheers: The Old Age Home.”
Danson, who’s happily entrenched in the show “The Good Place,” says he won’t be in any reboot of his iconic show.
Meyers asked the actor his thoughts on “The Cosby Show,” now that Bill Cosby has been convicted of sexual assault. “It was a great show and it’s a horrible thing that he did, not my place to vote on that, but the show had other actors and it was an amazing show. I think it’s okay to say that.”
