New zoning codes in Mt Pleasant have caused a stir for some residents. Commissioners have had to send issues back to the Planning Commission. 3 main concerns are: A new requirement regarding paving driveways, concerns from local builders that the new zoning code is affecting new housing, and requirements involving business parking lots and the location of buildings. The Planning Commission’s next meeting is Nov 1.
