With all the rainfall this past week, E. Coli levels have risen once again in the Chippewa River. The 2018 summer season was released Wednesday by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. Samples, gathered Monday, were taken during or directly after a heavy rain event. It showed higher-than-average E. coli test results due to run-off. Human contact with the river near School Rd. Bridge crossing, Chipp-a-waters Park and others is not recommended at these high levels.
