What a difference a week makes. Last week, Stan Lee was in total support of Keya Morgan. This week, the 95-year-old comic legend is taking his business manager to court with claims of elder abuse. Morgan was recently arrested for filing a false police report in conjunction with a supposed break-in at Lee’s house.
Lee’s former lawyer, Tom Lallas, filed paperwork in the Los Angeles Superior Court to extend a restraining order against Morgan that didn’t have Lee’s signature or a declaration. That move came as Lee’s current representation was about to file a restraining order request of their own. The request was granted, and everyone involved is due back in court on July 6thfor a further hearing on the 43-page filing.
Law enforcement and Adult Protective Services feel that since Lee is worth over $50-million dollars, he’s vulnerable to financial predators. As we told you before, there have been a number of charges flying about Lee’s status – and Morgan now stands accused of trying to unduly influence and isolate Lee.
