Producers of the Netflix series “The Crown,” have admitted to paying male co-star Matt Smith more than female lead Claire Foy. The producers have said this was due to Smith’s fame from “Doctor Who.” Foy was paid $40,000 for each episode, but Smith’s salary is still unknown. Producers promise to not make the same mistake again.
