A death investigation in Grand Traverse County is now being called a murder-suicide.
The Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office received a call from family members who found Thomas and Sharon Tracy Saturday.
The couple was found in the lower level of their house on Brackett Road in Williamsburg.
A shotgun was found near them and an autopsy showed they both died from gunshot wounds.
The investigation is still on-going as police work to make sure a third party was not involved.
They’re also trying to figure out a motive.
“At this point, based on our investigation, all indications are that this is a murder-suicide situation and that conclusion is based on the evidence that we’ve collected thus far and information received from their autopsies yesterday,” said Lt. Chris Barsheff, Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office.
The case is still under investigation!
