Kid Rock isn’t just opening Little Caesars Arena next month.

He’s opening a restaurant there, too.

The part-time Clarkston resident has teamed with Delaware North Sportservice and will open his first Kid Rock’s Made In Detroit restaurant on Sept. 12, the same day he plays the first of six concerts to open the arena. The 5,800-square-foot eatery will seat 230 and offer a menu “with a mix of classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes, along with traditional comfort food and bar fare,” including local beers and craft cocktails.

The Rock restaurant will be decorated with Kid Rock memorabilia, as well as a live music stage being billed “as an incubator of music talent,” with a specific focus on local artists.

Also opening is the District Market, which will house several food stations and offer pastries, coffee and more from Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor.

In addition to concerts, Little Caesar’s Arena will also be the home of the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Pistons, who are moving back downtown after more than 40 years in Pontiac and Auburn Hills.
