Into the MY1043 news room at this hour, Firefighters were called to Clare High School around 5:30 this morning, after a wrestling mat caught fire.
According to superintendent, Jim Walter, there was a large mechanical failure with a large fan used to dry carpets that had been steam cleaned in the gym area.
At the time of writing this story, Mr. Walter, wasn’t allowed inside the facility but does believe there’s been some water damage.
No injuries were reported. School starts on August 28th.
