Well a fast food restaurant is in the news again. I would say for a good thing but that would be up to your interpretation I guess. Burger King is adding a new item to their menu, a mashup of the Whopper sandwich and burrito; they call it… the Whopperito. Burger King is saying the new concoction is being released nationwide on August 15th. So good new everyone, you only have to wait a week to get your hands on a Whopperito.
I’m sure you’re probably asking, what is a Whopperito? What’s on it and how much does it cost? Well the Whopperito is everything that is on a Whopper in a flour tortilla. So in other words it is hamburger, lettuce, onion and tomato as well as a queso sauce instead of the mayonnaise and ketchup. This is definitely not the first new menu item that Burger King has put out in 2016. They also put out those grilled hot dogs. So now with the Whopperito you can have a burger, a hot dog and a burrito at one restaurant. It’s like if Taco Bell started serving burgers and hot dogs on their menu.
So the big question here is will you try a Whopperito? Well I’d actually have to think about it a little bit. I have yet to try Burger King’s grilled hot dogs. I have heard good things about the grilled dogs so I think I might try those. But the Whopperito? I don’t know about that. Though life is truly about stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things, this might be a time where you step back and say do I really need to try this? In the end it’s just a Whopper in a tortilla, so really how bad could it be? You’ll just have to find out yourself, that my friends is the Whopperito.
