Oceana County prosecutors confirmed the identity of a Mt Pleasant man facing child abuse charges for repeatedly holding a child’s head under water. 37-year-old Jeremy Ruble faces counts of first and fourth degree child abuse after waiving his arraignment on Wednesday. Witnesses reported the crime last Wednesday at Silver Lake State Park. Ruble is listed as a fourth grade teacher on Vowles Elementary School’s website.
