Kids in mid-Michigan learned what it was like to live and work on the NASA Space Shuttle at the Veterans Memorial Library on Monday. Karen Williams, a NASA Space Academy graduate and teacher shared stories from her training. After teaching for 15 years, Williams began her training in 2013. She currently lives in Lake Isabella. She shared experiences of her time in space simulators, and gave the kids a chance to sample astronaut ice cream.
