A Davison woman who investigators said stole thousands of dollars from her elderly mother was sentenced to probation. Maria Leemhuis took about $50K from her mom while she was her guardian. Sgt. Jill Macy said she used the money to “satisfy her impulses—such as online shopping, fast food and more!” She was sentenced to 18 months of probation with (1) day of jail time — with credit for time served!
