A Mt. Pleasant man could face up to 10 years in prison for strangling his girlfriend last August. 52 year old Kurt Genia was charged yesterday morning with (1) count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder for an incident from last summer outside an apartment on Canterbury Trail near Mt Pleasant High School.
