A woman from Beal City was arrested yesterday for a sophisticated catfishing scheme that targeted (2) teens – including her own daughter – in a multi-year campaign of harassment that she allegedly reported to law enforcement herself, just to throw authorities off her trail. She’s accused of concealing her identity while sending harassing messages over text & social media apps to her daughter & boyfriend. She’s currently lodged in the Isabella Co Jail. Her name is being withheld pending formal charges.
